Lactation Education
This course is offered through our partner, Childbirth Concierge. The program trains and equips participants to educate new parents about breastfeeding.
This course is an excellent starting point for those interested in learning about the process of breastfeeding, and educating new parents about breastfeeding.
This course teaches the anatomy and physiology of the breast, changes during pregnancy and lactation, and prepares the student to assess and provide anticipatory guidance regarding maternal nutrition, initiating and establishing successful breastfeeding, recognizing and managing common breastfeeding problems, and referral to community resources and breast feeding products.
Lactation Educator Certification
Our training partner, Childbirth Concierge, will supply you with the requirements and forms needed for certification through CCI. Upon completion of the approved training program, including the certification requirements (internship hours, reading list, project, and more), you can apply for CCI Lactation Educator Certification here.
